Entrance and circulation
Arrive in the hall again.
Before The side porch leads through the kitchen and lounge before reaching the bedroom hall.
After Restore the central front entrance and add a connecting corridor to the new kitchen and dining room. The bedroom route no longer depends on passing through the main living spaces.
Kitchen and dining
Make more of the side space.
After Rebuild and widen the porch as a dedicated kitchen and dining room, with U-shaped fitted units, wall cabinets and a six-seat table. A side door provides a practical route towards the garage.
Living and sleeping
Give the living room the garden.
After Combine the former kitchen and lounge into a larger living room with two garden-facing door openings. Glazed connections link it to the kitchen and the new corridor. The three bedrooms and family bathroom retain their positions.
